Gerrit, Hendrika and their family came to America from Holland in 1847 on the sailing vessel "Nagasaki"

"The Kleins left the Netherlands and settled in Iowa with intentions of farming in Iowa. Before they left their homeland they sold possessions there, turned the proceeds into gold Dutch Guilders, and designated the amount of gold which was to be used for the purchase of land in America.

As soon as the farms were made available to the new settlers, Gerrit and Hendrika took possession of the land and began the arduous task of building a home and breaking the sod. Four children were still living at home when they arrived in America. Two sons, Jan Teunis and Gerrit, GZ, were single and living independently of their parents. Two older sons, Teunis and Antonie, brought their families from Holland. Both had sufficient means to pay their passage to America and purchase farmland when they arrived." 	iv.	Antonie KLEIN⁴ was born on 3 November 1820 in Leerbroek, Holland, Netherlands. She died on 28 August 1882 at the age of 61 in Pella, Marion County, Iowa, USA. She was buried in Klein Cemetery, Summit Township, Marion County, Iowa, USA.
	v.	Hilligje KLEIN⁴ was born on 2 September 1822 in Leerdam, Holland, Netherlands. She died on 21 March 1887 at the age of 64 in Schoonrewored, Netherlands.
	vi.	Jan Teunis "John" KLEIN⁴ was born on 16 March 1824 in Leerdam, Holland, Netherlands. He died on 22 July 1900 at the age of 76 in Pella, Marion County, Iowa, USA. He was buried in Swan Cemetery, Sully, Jasper County, Iowa, USA.
